The rich color palette of polymer clay allows you to create very realistic figurines from it. Make sure of this by sculpting a baby from plastic - the figurine will turn out to be touching and graceful.

Instructions
Step 1
Make a wire frame for the toy. Find a wire that is thick enough but not brittle. Try to make the whole frame from one piece. At this stage, it is necessary to determine the proportions of the baby's body.
Step 2
Based on the photo of the baby, determine and write down the proportions on paper. The baby's torso will be twice as long as its head. The arms are slightly shorter than the body from shoulder to fingertips. The length of the arms is equal to the length of the legs to mid-calf. In accordance with these parameters, twist the wire into the loops that make up the frame.
Step 3
Divide the torso area visually into three sections. Fold the upper third up - the baby rises, leaning on his hands. Bend the sections of the arms, determining the location of the elbows, and lower them down, placing them on the plane with your palms. Bend your legs and spread them to the sides, separate the sections on the wire frame on which the feet will be located.
Step 4
Wrap the frame with cling foil. It will save plastic and make the figurine lighter. Wrap large sheets on the frame and crush, compact them, sculpting the approximate shape of the baby's body parts.
Step 5
Knead the flesh-colored plastic in your hands. Roll out thin layers (0.5 cm thick) from it. Lay these layers over the frame. Try to cover each part of the craft with one sheet of plastic so that there are no seams on the surface of the "skin". Refine the shape of the baby's body, trying to sculpt a realistic figure out of plastic. Watch the thickness of the arms and legs in different areas (focus on the photo), sculpt your fingers, having previously separated them with a stack.
Step 6
Put small pieces of plastic on the face of the toy and mold the nose and ears from them, rubbing the details to the surface so that the joint is not noticeable. With a toothpick, squeeze out the outlines of the lips, with a cotton swab - the eyes and the space around the nose.
Step 7
Lightly tint the finished craft with blush. Pick up a fresh but very light shade of pink and apply it with a cotton pad or soft brush to the cheeks, chin, elbows, knees, and heels. Tint the baby's lips with the same color.
Step 8
Fire the figurine in the oven. Cooking instructions should be included on the polymer clay packaging. If the plastic is self-hardening, give it time to harden. Paint the finished figurine with acrylic paints - draw the baby's hair, paint the eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes. Apply white highlights to the iris and pupils. When the paint dries, cover your eyes with a glossy varnish and the rest of the surface with a matte finish.
