It is necessary

  • - broom
  • - bath
  • - hot and cold water
  • - basin

Instructions

Step 1

Bath brooms are harvested from different types of wood, even from a Christmas tree, but the most common varieties are oak and birch. A good broom should be dry, firm, with green, non-crumbling foliage.

Step 2

If you just put a broom in hot water upon arrival at the bathhouse, you will hopelessly ruin it. The steaming procedure has its own tricks and nuances.

Step 3

When you come to the sauna, rinse the broom in warm water to remove dust and dirt particles from it, and immediately put it in cold water for 5 minutes. Then rinse it again with warm water, transfer it to a deep basin, pour boiling water over it and cover with a lid for 10 minutes. Examine the brewed foliage carefully. If it becomes gray and sticky, it is better to throw the broom away, they will not be able to steam. If you hold the broom for 10 seconds over a hot stove, it will become even hotter and more fragrant.

Step 4

Coniferous brooms can only be used fresh, so there are no special tricks in steaming them. Just place one of them in a bowl of boiling water and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Such a broom can be used for a very long time, from 3 to 5 times, but do not forget that only healthy people are allowed to do this, special care should be taken when steaming with sensitive skin.

Step 5

Some sauna lovers prefer herbal brooms, for example, from nettle. The steaming procedure should only soften the nettle, make it less stinging. Therefore, a bundle of nettles should arrange a couple of contrasting baths, transferring it from a basin of cold water to hot water and vice versa every 2 minutes 3-4 times. You can use a herbal broom only 1 time, after which it should be thrown away.
