Nylon strings have their advantages and disadvantages over metal strings. They are easier to learn to play because they are soft and it is almost impossible to rub the fingers of the left hand with them until they get bloody calluses. But nylon strings can only be pulled on a good instrument. On cheap mass-produced guitars, they often sound very muffled. Nylon strings are sensitive to changing conditions and are very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. In addition, they stretch and the first time they have to be adjusted frequently.

It is necessary

  • - guitar;
  • - nylon strings;
  • - tuning fork.

Instructions

Step 1

Nylon strings are of two types. Some have a drum at the end, and such strings are pulled in the same way as metal strings. You need to push the string into the desired hole of the stand, stretch it along the neck, thread it into the corresponding hole of the tuning peg and tune.

Step 2

Twist the pegs at the top of the headstock counterclockwise, the lower pegs clockwise, and the middle pegs whichever suits you best. The direction is determined when the guitar is on a flat surface with the side facing you and the tuners you are turning at the moment are directly in front of you.

Step 3

If there is no drum, then the string can be pulled in two ways. Make a fake drum by simply tying the end of the string in a knot so that it doesn't slip into the hole in the stand. After that, in the same way as in the first case, pull the string through the hole, slide it along the neck and fasten it to the peg.

Step 4

You can do it differently. Run the string into the desired hole so that a rather long section remains outside. Pass the string along the neck, secure it to the desired tuning peg with one turn. Go back to the beginning of the string. Circle the rest of the outside of the support from above and tie the free end of the string around the already stretched part of it with a double knot. Nodes can be used differently. It is necessary that the string is firmly held.

Step 5

On some imported and custom guitars, the strings are not pulled through the holes, but along the top of the stand. They are attached to special pins. In this case, a loop is made on the string, which is put on the pin, and then pulled in the same way as in all other cases.
