- Needlework wire, green, for beads, 16 cm.
- Wing wire, 2 cuts - 15 cm and 12 cm.
- Green nylon for the wings.
- Pliers.
- Beads golden, for a calf, large, 1 sachet.
- Beads, dark golden, for antennae, small, 1 sachet.
- Wire for wings in the color of nylon - 1 sachet, you can use the one chosen for the antennae.
- 1 large bead for the head.
- Glitter green, 1 sachet.
- Glitter yellow, 1 sachet.
- PVA glue.
- Handicraft varnish.
- Scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to make the torso. The wire must be bent in half. Begin stringing large beads, holding the curved wire with the ends up. String the beads until a third of the wire is left. Then the wire must be carefully wrapped 2 times, thread the bead and continue stringing the antennae. The ends must be carefully bent with pliers. Recall that a dragonfly has a tail. To do it without reaching the head, you need to twist the wire for the torso again.
Step 2
Now the fun part is the wings. Pass a 15 cm wire through the beads on the body. It is necessary that both wings are even. The wire is bent into an appropriate shape. Then the wire is applied to the nylon. With glue, you need to glue the wire to the fabric. Immediately fill the wing with varnish. He must additionally glue the wire to the fabric. Choose a good varnish, for example, transparent for decoupage. While the varnish is still wet, cover the wings with glitter. Smaller wings are also made.
Step 3
A special feature of the dragonfly is its eyes. You will need a wire and two large beads. The wire is folded in half and wrapped around the head. The two ends are threaded outward. A bead is strung on each. The ends are threaded through the head bead again and secured.
