Roses are loved for their wondrous delicate aroma, grace, beauty, joy that these wonderful flowers give to people. Indoor rose pleases with its beauty almost all year round, but as a true queen it requires attention.
Indoor roses
Roses are suitable for growing in a room:
- remontant - bloom twice a year;
- tea-hybrid - differ in a variety of colors;
- polyanthus - profusely blooming, with a pleasant aroma, undemanding flowers;
- Pernetsian - decorative, bloom until late autumn.
These should be bushes growing on their own roots, grafted onto a rosehip stalk in indoor conditions, it is difficult to preserve.
We bought a bush in a store and brought it home, do not rush to transplant, put it on a light windowsill, free from other flowers. Let the first time stand in splendid isolation, in quarantine, so as not to become infected with diseases and pests. In addition, a lonely flowering plant looks good and attracts attention.
How to care for a room rose
You will properly take care of the rose, it will retain its decorative effect for six months (at least), it will grow so that you will provide all your friends with seedlings. A potted rose loves light, but does not tolerate high temperatures and dry air, especially in winter. Leaves turn pale, become dry and fall off, few buds are laid, flowering is short.
Caring for roses involves proper watering. Do not be lazy, spray them every 2-3 days, bathe in the shower once a week. Spraying is done with boiled chilled water or a solution of fertilizers such as "Cascade".
In dry air, flowers are more often affected by pests. During an active growing season, water abundantly with warm, settled water, roses do not tolerate cold water, especially in the summer heat, when the ground in the container is warmed up. With the end of flowering, you can reduce watering. The roots of the plant need to breathe, so it is necessary to frequently loosen the soil in the pot, but do this carefully so as not to damage the roots.
The best place for a rose would be the southwest or southeast window; on the south window, the home rose is too hot in summer - the buds quickly open and fall off. You can take the pots of flowers outside in the spring, dig them in together with the container on an open, well-heated flower bed, and put them in the house in the fall - this will have a beneficial effect on the growth and flowering of the bush.
Before bringing the bush into the house, it is necessary to take hygienic measures: carefully examine the plant, remove yellowed, blackened leaves and dry shoots, rinse the leaves with warm soapy water to prevent the appearance of pests. Of course, it is better to transplant the rose into a new container, but you can simply replace the topsoil.
The rose needs fresh air. It is not possible to take the flower out into the garden, since April, regularly ventilate the room. In the summer, keep the plant on a balcony, open terrace, or by an open window. The stuffiness in the room greatly inhibits the growth and flowering of roses. Taking care of a home rose means feeding on time, it needs fertile soil. They are fed during flowering - once every 7 days, fertilizers are applied for flowering plants.
