A decorated sailboat filled with candy or liquor can be used to decorate a table or saved as a memory of a celebration.
DIY candy ship
Draw a sketch of a sailboat on a piece of paper. So it will be more convenient for you to select the necessary materials for him. Then make a paper mockup for the base of the ship. Transfer it to a sheet of Styrofoam or Styrofoam. Make several identical blanks and glue them together with PVA glue. This will give you sufficient height for the ship.
On another sheet of paper, make another mock-up - this will be the profile of the sailing vessel. Attach it in turn to the sides of the foam base, circle it with a felt-tip pen and cut with a sharp knife. If it becomes necessary to complete the ship, cut out individual parts from the same material as the base and glue in the right places.
After all the glued parts are dry, use a knife to give the ship a realistic shape in accordance with the original sketch. Then lightly sand the workpiece with sandpaper.
Wrap the base of the boat along with the deck with corrugated paper. Attach it to double-sided tape or PVA glue.
If the joints of the corrugated paper are not covered with sweets, decorate them with a twisted cord.
Line a sailboat with sweets on top of the paper. It is convenient to use square and semicircular candies without tails. For the sides, use one color of candy wrappers, and lay out the deck in a different color.
The sides of the ship can be trimmed not only with sweets, but also to diversify the decor by laying out the lower side parts of the ship with shells.
Make masts and yards from wooden toothpicks and barbecue skewers. Attach them with a glue gun. Plain fabric is suitable for making sails. For more confidence, pull a few thin jute rope cables.
Ship of Candy and Champagne
Choose an oval wicker basket. Place a sheet of styrofoam in it so that it covers the bottom. Try on a bottle of booze. It should be positioned so that its neck sticks out and symbolizes the bow of the ship.
Use a sharp knife to make a groove in the styrofoam the size of the part of the bottle that fits in the basket. Lay down the booze and decorate the clear deck space with candy.
Candy can be glued directly onto the styrofoam, carefully covering all the free spaces so that it does not shine through. And you can make sweets on skewers.
Attach the curled ponytail to a wooden skewer or toothpick. Cut the glossy wrapping paper into even squares. Place three squares on top of each other with some offset. Make a hole in the center and pass a skewer through it. Lift the ends of the squares up and wrap the base near the candy with transparent tape. Stick such decorated candies into the deck of the ship.
Use long wooden skewers to make yards. Stick them into the styrofoam. Fasten a thin twisted cord with one end on the rack, with the other end tie it to the protruding neck of the bottle. Cut the sails out of transparent fabric and glue wooden toothpick masts to them. Then glue the sails to the yards.
