Making a boat is easy. This will require the exact execution of the instructions, the sequence of stages of work. The cardboard sheathing is pasted over with adhesive tape, which protects it from getting wet, and a load is tied to the bottom of the ship so that the model does not turn over in the water.

It is necessary

Styrofoam, wood planks of small thickness and considerable length, scotch tape, loose fabric, cutter, cardboard, wire

Instructions

Step 1

Make a Styrofoam ship hull. Make its bottom flat, and raise its height by about 3 cm. In this case, the mast will sit tightly and will not fall when moving on the water. Cut the hull in stages - first guide along the contour of the deck, then sharpen the bow, then bevel the sides and stern.

Step 2

Cover the styrofoam housing with cardboard. To do this, cut out the necessary shapes along the contour of the sides, stern, bulwarks, adding another 7 mm from above. Cut out the deck section in the same way. Paint all details. Next on the deck, mark the place where the masts will be inserted. Glue the trim to the body using glue or tape.

Step 3

Carve masts and yards from the planks. Fasten them together with wire. Cut the sails out of the fabric so that the width of the sail is greater than its height. Tie the sails to the yards with string or wire.

Step 4

Insert the masts into the ship at the points marked on the deck. Make a steering wheel. To do this, stick a small piece of cardboard into the foam at the stern, right in the center of the ship's symmetry. Lower it so that it is submerged under the water.
