The image of an alien is one of the most beloved for various holidays both in kindergartens and schools, and at adult corporate parties. In most cases, the suit is sewn for him on his own. Therefore, each newcomer turns out to be very original and interesting. And materials for it are also taken non-standard.

It is necessary

  • - overalls for painting premises from a hardware store;
  • - foam rubber 1, 5x1, 5 m sheet;
  • - mesh for windows;
  • - 2 springs from handles;
  • - 2 plastic balls;
  • - fringe 20 cm;
  • - silver round elastic band 2, 5 m;
  • - mesh for windows - about 2 meters.

Instructions

Step 1

Make the main part of the suit out of construction overalls. It can be adjusted to fit simply by suturing. To make it look more like an alien guest, you need to attach a second pair of "arms" to it. To do this, make a pattern of them on foam rubber and carefully cut them out. If there are scraps from the overalls, then sew them around the "arms". If not, then trim with an additional mesh. You can also wrap them in foil for a more realistic look. Then sew the "arms" into the sides of the jumpsuit, just below the normal sleeves. When making an additional pair of "hands" take into account the moment that they can fall under their own weight. Therefore, they need to be strengthened. You can use a wire for this (it must be carefully sewn into the "hands").

Step 2

To enhance the impression and further emphasize that the costume is an alien, make a couple of cuts on the back. In them you will need to sew in two designs, which are something in between the wings and humps. You will need a mesh to create them. Cut out ovals from it, which will be slightly larger than the length of the slits on the back of the jumpsuit. Then gather them together with a thread around the edge and sew them into the slits. If you are afraid that it can be hot in such a suit, then just make cuts on the fabric at regular intervals and insert a mesh into them - ventilation will be provided.

Step 3

Do not forget about the design of the headdress. A jumpsuit hood is perfect for this purpose. Sew on it "eyes". You can make them yourself from the foam rubber you have. To do this, cut out a circle with a diameter of about 25 cm, thread along the edge of it, and then tighten it to make a ball. Cover the resulting part with a mesh and sew on the spring. Run a net around the edge of the hood to cover your face.

Step 4

You can also complement the suit with details such as gloves and shoes. To do this, you will need already unnecessary shoes and old mittens. They can also be covered with mesh and sheathed with springs and foil. Or you can just buy a can of silver paint and paint all the parts entirely. The alien costume is now ready.
