A hut house adorns any garden plot: it can serve as both the main dwelling and a temporary refuge for one person or for the whole family. It can also be used as a pantry for storing various tools or garden supplies. It is not at all difficult to build a house-hut with your own hands. If all the necessary materials are already ready, then it will only take a few days.
Instructions
Step 1
To build a house-hut, first draw up its project: on paper, depict how you see your future house. Allocate a small area about 2 by 2 meters for the hut. Lay the foundation for the hut from stones and concrete, which will be laid out on a previously leveled surface. The base should be approximately 30 cm from the ground.
Step 2
Now, on the laid out foundation, install a frame made of planks 2 m high. The top surface of this frame should only be horizontal. Strengthen the frame on the sides with slats and stones, attach the porch formwork to it. Lay old bricks or stones in the base, placing the largest of them on the sides. Fill the hollow space between them with cement, which subsequently forms the horizontal plane of the base. Lay out the porch with natural stone of the correct rectangular shape.
Step 3
While the concrete dries up, start making the wooden frame of the hut and its extension. Place the door on the south side of the house, and the extension and window opening on the east. Make sure that the sides of the hut protrude 40-50 cm beyond its base on both sides.
Step 4
Assemble the main frame of the house and the extension from bars with a section of 50 mm by 70 mm. Connect the frame bars to each other with screws and nails. Use a tenon joint when connecting the frame to the bars. Embed the frame into the concrete of the base. Drive nails into the sidewalls of the bars every 50 cm to tie the frame to the base more tightly. Connect the side frames with each other using a steel plate. Connect the extension and the sidewalls with three additional bars.
Step 5
Outside and inside, sheathe the frame of the hut with boards. Make the floor, too, from planks, which are nailed to the logs. It is better to sheathe the inside of the house with clapboard, plywood or fiberboards. Next, carry out all the work to protect the house from bad weather, destruction and other things. Cover the outside of the hut with stain, drying oil (twice) and varnish or oil paint.
