Small beaded trees are most often made in the shape of a bonsai. This is a small tree in a flat pot or on a stone, bizarrely twisted. Making beaded trees is not difficult, but it takes a lot of time.
It is necessary
- - beads
- - wire of 2 types
- - gypsum
- - container or stone for the base
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need to choose beads, at least 300 grams. The color doesn't really matter. A realistic tree that will reproduce a corner of the landscape is made from shades of green. All shades from white to dark brown can also be used, if the tree, according to the author's idea, is covered with snow and covered with ice and frost, or the leaves on it have acquired an autumn color - yellow, brown, red. A fantasy plant can have leaves of blue, blue, and lilac color, and combine all these colors on one branch. But the composition must first of all be thought out, because if you just take a mixture of beads, a beautiful result may not work. If you plan to use several colors, you need to choose those that look harmonious, complementing each other or contrasting.
Step 2
The frame of the tree consists of a variety of wire sizes. For the trunk, a thick one is used, and for branches they take much thinner. Depending on the manufacturer, the markings are different, so it is best to choose the wire by trying to twist it by hand. If this is easy and the wire does not look too thin and fragile, it is suitable for weaving. Special wire for beading is available from different manufacturers, but all of it is slightly different in quality, so it is better to try several items, eventually settling on the most convenient one. The wire for the leaves and the trunk can also be removed from the old wires by removing the insulation from them with special wire cutters.
Step 3
They begin to weave a tree from its leaves, which fold into branches. This process is the main one in making beaded bonsai and is the longest one. In addition, for the first time, it is difficult to adequately assess the number of beads and the size of the tree. Seeing how many branches ended up, it will be easier to plan the size and length of the trunk. There are many techniques for making beaded leaves, but looped ones are predominantly used for beaded trees. This technique consists in stringing a predetermined number of beads onto a piece of wire (usually no more than 10-15, but depending on the size of the beads, the number may be less or more). After that, the free ends of the wire are brought together and twisted. Of several such leaves, about 20-30, a branch is twisted. The leaves can be arranged all together, forming a ball, or alternate depending on the design.
Step 4
The resulting branches are placed on a thick wire-trunk, securing them with wire, thread or floral tape. The trunk is bent so that it resembles a tree and fixed on a stand. You can glue the trunk to a stable large stone, imitating the additionally exposed roots that hold the tree to the stone. You can put the barrel in a flat ceramic or even plastic container and then fill it with plaster or cement. There are several ways to make the wire look like a tree trunk. The easiest is to use several layers of floral tape of the desired color. But it is used mainly for making flowers, and therefore does not imitate the texture of the bark very well. Sometimes the barrel is wrapped with bandages and impregnated with plaster. The bark is imitated on a semi-cured material and then painted in a suitable color. Any strong self-hardening mass is suitable for this.
