According to feng shui, a tree decorated with coins brings wealth and prosperity to the home. A money tree woven of beads is a kind of symbol of well-being - an excellent gift for a special occasion, which can be presented not only to family and friends, but also to colleagues.
To make a craft, you need:
- 100 g of green beads for foliage;
- wire for beading;
- decorative coins;
- nippers;
- floristic tape;
- thick copper wire;
- PVA glue;
- gypsum;
- flower pot;
- gold-colored acrylic paint;
- sparkles;
- clear nail polish.
Weaving foliage for the money tree
The money tree is unusual, therefore, the leaves on it will not be of the usual shape, but round. Cut a piece of wire 0.5 m long. String 7 beads on it, place it in the center and bend the wire with beads into a tight loop. Under it, make a couple of turns to secure.
Then cast on 14 beads for the second row of the leaf and wrap the resulting chain around the eyelet, positioning it quite tightly against the previous row. Lock the row and twist the wire a few times to make a small twig.
Make a couple more round leaves at both ends of the wire, twist it a few turns, and weave 2 more leaves. Set aside the detail. Make 30-35 more branches in the same way.
Weave 3-5 branches with leaves from decorative coins. Cut a piece of wire 25 cm long and thread it through the hole in the coin, center it and twist the wire underneath, making a few turns. Connect 3 leaves of coins together and twist the wire to the end.
Formation and decoration of the money tree
Connect round green leaves of beads and coins. Take 2-3 green twigs each, attach a sheet of decorative coins to it and twist the wire. At the base of the branch, attach the floral tape and start wrapping the wire tightly. After 2, 5-3 cm, attach the second one, twist the wire and wrap the branch. Next, insert the thick copper wire and tape everything together.
Make 2 similar trees. Do not cut the bottom edge, but twist it into a ring. This will serve as a solid foundation for the craft.
The money tree will look much more spectacular if you design it in the form of a dollar sign. Cut a piece 10-12 cm long from the copper wire and twist it in the shape of the letter "s". Attach 2-3 twigs with leaves to this part and wrap it tightly with floral tape.
Place 2 wood blanks at a distance of 3-5 cm from each other and attach the piece to them in the form of the letter "s".
Dissolve the gypsum in water until it is mushy. Pour the mass into a flower pot and set up a money tree. Let the structure dry.
Now decorate the surface of the pot and add some shine to the money tree. Lubricate the pot and plaster surface with PVA glue and sprinkle the glitter. After the glue is dry, apply some golden acrylic paint and secure everything with clear varnish.
