The money tree is an original and uncomplicated craft that is easy to do with your own hands. In addition, this is an unusual way to give money, a kind of replacement for the traditional envelope with money.
It is necessary
- • Small flower pot - 1 pc.
- • Banknotes - any quantity, preferably at least 50-80 pieces.
- • Twine or satin ribbon
- • Acrylic paints
- • Sisal (small coins, moss) for decoration
- • Branch or stick for the base
- • Floral pins
- • Glue
- • Ball made of polyurethane foam or polystyrene
- • Floral foam
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to make a colored pot, then paint it with acrylic paint, and then let it dry thoroughly. While the pot is drying, cut a piece of foam from the florist foam around the diameter of the pot. It is important that the piece of foam fills the space of the pot as much as possible. If there are voids left, then, having cut the foam into small pieces, you need to completely fill the container.
Step 2
In the middle of the large central piece of foam, you need to make a hole into which the trunk of the money tree will then be inserted. To create a single composition, decorate the tree trunk with paint or wrap it tightly with twine. To do this, glue the end of the rope to the stick, and, laying tightly, wrap the trunk. Secure the end of the string with glue.
Step 3
Pour some glue into the hole in the foam and insert the trunk of the future tree. Stick a ball of expanded polystyrene or polyurethane foam into the upper end of the stick-barrel. While the glue is setting, small fans, flowers are folded from the bills, or tubes are twisted. Fake bills can be safely cut into pieces and glued to the ball. Carefully glue the coins in the center of the fan or flower.
Step 4
Real bills are folded neatly and pinned to the ball with floral pins, taking care not to damage the money. Place the bills in random order, but it will be better if there is no free space between them. If there is an unoccupied place with bills, then it can be filled with sisal fibers or artificial leaves.
Step 5
Build an improvised ground from moss or sisal, laying the material in a circle. On the moss, you can put real shiny coins rolled up in tubes. You can wrap the pot with a satin ribbon and tie a bow. The money tree is ready.
