There is no limit to the joy of children on the days when the first real snow cover appears on the street. And not only snowballs and sledding will amuse the youngest. Parents can also surprise children by sculpting with them figures from the "improvised" material - white snow.

It is necessary

  • -snow;
  • -picture;
  • -putty knife;
  • -knives;
  • -dye;
  • -spray;
  • -plywood;
  • -water.

Instructions

Step 1

You can sculpt a wide variety of figures from such material - animals, people, heroes from fairy tales, things. But remember that snow is a special material. It molds well only at a certain temperature. So, if there is a bitter frost outside, then the snowflakes will crumble in your hands. And if there is a thaw on the nose, then the figures will melt very quickly.

Step 2

Together with the children, decide what kind of character you want to sculpt. In order to clearly understand how it will look, draw it on paper. Also prepare the necessary tools and parts for work - spatulas and knives for work, dyes and a spray gun to create the final image. You will also need plywood for the base. Before going outside, dress in clothes that are warm but light enough to work comfortably.

Step 3

Find the place where the snow has covered the most, and it has not yet been trampled. Install the plywood - this will be the basis on which you will make the snow sculpture. Use only wet snow for sculpting. If it is too crumbly due to the low temperature, then first dip the snow in water and only then apply it to the base. Try to sculpt gradually, using very little material each time. Then the figure will appear sharper. When you are finished sculpting completely, leave the resulting sculpture outside so that it freezes well.

Step 4

When the frost "grasps" the statue, take spatulas, knives or other cutting tools and gradually cut out small details and outlines - depict body parts, face, hair. Using a spray gun and paints, make the snowy figure multi-colored by painting certain parts of it in appropriate colors. By the way, snow can be made multi-colored right away - just add food or other dye to the cold "material" before starting the sculpting process.
