Instructions

Step 1

A few tips and tricks on how to build figures from snow.

Before starting work, it should be remembered that the manufacture of extraordinary snow figures has its own specific characteristics and this is due, first of all, to the material (snow) used in the work. It should not be forgotten that snow is sensitive to temperature changes.

Step 2

Decide what you will be tinkering with.

Sketch on paper.

Sculpt a plasticine figure for clarity.

Step 3

Prepare the necessary equipment and tools (for the frame - sheets of plywood; for work - scrapers, saws, spatulas, hacksaws; to decorate the finished structure - food colors, paints, spray gun).

Wear lightweight but warm clothing.

Step 4

Frame a figure out of plywood or planks.

Take white snow and start sculpting the most invented figure. In this case, the snow must be necessarily wet. If the snow is crumbly, it should be quickly lowered into a bucket of water before starting modeling and then wet snow should be applied to the frame. By applying a little snow, the figure will begin to gain volume, and gradually what you need will emerge.

Let the formed figure freeze.

Step 5

Using the prepared scrapers and files, cut out the outlines of the figure, such as hair, arms, legs, eyes, etc.

Apply paints to the finished sculpture, your creation, giving the product color. In addition to coloring at the end of the work, you can also add paints or food coloring to the snow itself, which is used in sculpting and create your brainchild immediately from colored snow.
