Umbrellas are an item that can be found in almost every wardrobe. Protecting you from bad weather, they eventually deteriorate. Usually the needles and mechanisms break first, and the fabric dome remains intact. Your favorite umbrella can be handed over to be repaired, but the rest, using creative thinking, should be used completely for other purposes.
Shoulder cover from an old umbrella
The cape can come in handy in the household if you cut your household or dye your hair. The slippery fabric from the umbrella is quickly erased, hair is easily shaken off from it.
Using a nail scissors, gently pry off the fabric from the spokes of the umbrella and remove the cover from the frame. Cut it from one side to the center. Expand the hole in the center of the cover so that it can be loosely fastened around the person's neck.
Machine all cuts with a double hem. Then cut three pieces from the Velcro tape and fasten the fasteners in three places along the cut. You can put a single long clasp on it, if it is more convenient for you.
The neckline and bottom of the cape can be trimmed with braid by sewing it on a typewriter.
Artificial flower vase
A spectacular decoration on a door or wall can be made from an umbrella cane. You will need long-stemmed artificial flowers and a ribbon. Hang the umbrella on the hook by the handle. Insert the bouquet into it so that the flowers are clearly visible. Tie a ribbon around the center of the umbrella.
Umbrella swan
An unusual garden decoration can be made from a cane umbrella and several rolls of black garbage bags. Peel the waterproof fabric off the metal frame. Set up the umbrella by sticking the tip into something solid, such as the ground. Open it slightly and fix the mechanism in this position with electrical tape.
To the handle of the umbrella, presenting it as the head of a swan, attach with tape or tape at an angle a small thin plate that will symbolize the bird's beak. Then take a roll of black plastic bags under the trash and start wrapping your craft from the tip of the beak.
The base for the beak can also be cut from a plastic bottle.
Try to make the winding proportional. That is, put a layer of thicker bags on the swan's head, and wrap the neck evenly so that it is of the same thickness along the entire length.
Separately wrap the umbrella frame where the fabric was attached in black bags. Do this by placing the plastic tape from the bags between the needles in a checkerboard pattern so that all the needles are locked in a certain position. Start work from the very bottom of the umbrella, that is, from the place where it is stuck.
Look at the result of your labors. If the resulting swan suits you in this form, paint the bird's beak with red acrylic paint directly over the black bags. Now you can stick the craft in a suitable place in the summer cottage, and after the rain, drain the accumulated water from it.
