Now in stores you can find many options for decorating a summer cottage, but they are all quite expensive, and they are not particularly original. But you can please yourself and your guests by making a parrot out of a tire with your own hands, spending very little effort and saving significant money.
To make a bird, you will need an old tire with an erased tread, a clamp or a strip of iron, a bolt, a nut and two washers, water-based paint of different colors, a brush, a sharp knife for cutting rubber, a drill with a drill, and wrenches.
Before starting cutting, mark the tire with chalk. Visually, you need to divide the circle into three parts, draw a curved rectangle on one third, leaving a small inner edge. These parts must be completely removed from both sides. In one place, the tire should be cut across, making cuts along the inner edges of the wheel so that you can bend the tail and neck of the parrot.
The workpiece is turned inside out, you get the body of a parrot from the tire with your own hands. From the side parts that have been removed, you need to make a muzzle with a beak. The tail can be decorated with feather cut. A cut should be made in the parrot's neck and the beak should be inserted, squeezing the halves back. To do this, you need to drill a hole with a drill and connect the parts with a bolt and a nut.
Thin inner strips are pulled together with a clamp, wire or rope. For this detail, you can hang a parrot from a tire with your own hands.
The finished product is painted, feathers, beak, eyes are drawn. The dried bird can be attached to any horizontal structure with rope or wire. You can install a flower pot inside the resulting parrot from the tire.
