Biography

Yulia Ivanovna Galkina was born on December 24, 1984, in Kursk, in the family of professors-historians. In 2001 she received a certificate of secondary education at the Kursk school number 57 and, at the insistence of her parents, she entered to study psychology at the Kursk State University. However, by 2002 she decided to become an actress and went to study in Moscow, at the Moscow Art Theater School. Since 2006 he has been working at the Moscow Art Theater. She did not leave the specialty of a psychologist, and by 2011 she received a second higher education in absentia in the specialty "psychology of creativity" and defended her Ph. D. thesis on the topic: "Psychological determinants of the personal and professional formation of future artists."

Yulia made her theater debut in 2005, in the role of Mary, in a production based on the story by Andrei Platonov "The Return". Stage partners are Oleg Tabakov, Andrey Myagkov, Alexey Guskov. By the time she graduated, she played Dunyasha in the comedy Cherry Orchard, a nun in Tartuffe, Bliss in Spring Fever, was involved in the performances The White Rabbit, The Little Humpbacked Horse, Oblomov and many other productions from the repertoire of the drama theater.

A career at the Moscow Art Theater ended in 2013. And Julia went to work in the cinema.

In 2010, Yulia became a laureate of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation for her role as Zoya Voskresenskaya-Rybkina in the film “The Two Lives of Colonel Rybkina”.

Personal life

Acquaintance with the future husband happened in 2009, during the filming of the series "Zhurov". Ilya Makarov, director and producer, artistic director of the Phoenix-Film studio, proposed to Yulia to become his wife on the third day of their acquaintance. And already in December of the same year, they had a child - a son, Mikhail. As Julia herself notes, love and mutual understanding reign in her family, because Ilya knows very well his wife's schedule, her busyness and unreality to plan a vacation.

Yulia's first film role took place in 2007, in the film "The Artist", where Yulia played the administrator. After this role, Julia starred in an average of 3-5 films a year. In total, the artist's film career includes more than 40 films and TV series in which she brilliantly plays roles of a different nature. “Thank you for your love!”, “Kisses of the fallen angels”, “Thunders. House of Hope”,“Hairpins”,“Chapay Passion”,“Husband on Call”, Black Cat” and many other films in which Yulia successfully built her film career.

To date, the last film where Yulia played was the films "Late Repentance" and "I Love You Anyone" (2017). In it, she played Galya, grandfather's mistress. Very soon the film "Death Number", where Julia plays the tamer of tigers and bears, should be released.
