Yuri Kuznetsov was born on 03.09.1946 in the family of a police officer. He is a representative of Russian Siberia. Born in Abakan, the capital of the Republic of Khakassia. Yuri was not the only child - he has three more sisters.

His father was frequently visited by colleagues at home. It was there that little Yura heard about the subtleties of the police service, which strengthened his heroes in the future. The father dreamed of seeing his only son in the officer ranks, but the son from school began to get involved in playing in the drama club and turned his interest into a profession. Yuri went to Vladivostok to get an education. In 1969 he graduated from the Faculty of Performing Arts of the Far Eastern Pedagogical Institute of Arts, after which he was assigned to work at the Khabarovsk Drama Theater. In 1979, Yuri moved to work at the Omsk Drama Theater, and in 1986 and until the end of the 20th century - at the Leningrad Comedy Theater named after I. Akimova.

Further, Yuri's professional activities were mainly associated with cinema. In 2006, Yuri received the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Personal life

The first time Yuri got married in Khabarovsk. His wife, Valentina, worked as an actress in the theater with Yuri. In marriage, the couple had a daughter, Natalya. The family, together with Yuri, moved from region to region. However, in 1991, in Moscow, during the filming of the film "The Refugee", the actor met 36-year-old Irina, to whom he was inflamed with love. Yuri helped the woman bring her sick son to the room, after which he realized that "I can't just leave them." The actor divorced his wife, leaving her all the property, and at the age of 45 he started life from scratch. In 1995, Irina and Yuri had a daughter, Alexander. Unfortunately, in 2012, after a stroke, with prolonged diabetes, Irina passed away.

Yuri's activity in cinema begins in 1973, with a small role in the film "At home among strangers, a stranger among friends" (Nikita Mikhalkov). But the following roles have been around since 1983.
