It is necessary

  • - high wooden blocks;
  • - wide thick board;
  • - picket fence;
  • - screws;
  • - metal corners;
  • - hacksaw;
  • - screwdriver or screwdriver;
  • - shovel;
  • - paint;
  • - brush.

Instructions

Step 1

Look: there may be two tall stumps in your garden that you never had time to uproot. If they are next to each other, then the base and place for your bench have been found. If there are no stumps, then use the logs.

Step 2

Take two logs, the longer they are, the more firmly your bench will hold in the ground. The optimal size is 80-100 cm. The bench height is 40 cm, the rest will be dug into the ground. The standard size for a comfortable fit for one person is 70 cm. Use the base of two blocks for two people to sit so that the boards do not bend in the middle. If you want to make the bench longer, then install a third block in the middle for rigidity.

Step 3

Dig two holes 1.5 m apart. Install logs in them. Put broken bricks or stones in the pits, then your supports will loosened up. Try to bury so that the logs stick out strictly vertically. Tamp the ground firmly around the base.

Step 4

Place a wide board on the supports. The width of the seat should be at least 40 cm. If your board is narrower than required, then add the required width using a picket fence. Rotate the board so that the most finished edge is on the seated person's side. Screw the board to the logs with a screwdriver or screwdriver.

Step 5

Attach the two boards almost vertically to the wooden supports with self-tapping screws and secure with metal corners. These boards will be the basis for the backrest. Screw the picket fence between them. Focus on the width of the boards and the height of the back. You should be able to lean comfortably when landing.

Step 6

Paint your garden bench with bright paint. It will be pleasant for you to sit on it, and precipitation will less damage the surface of your product.
