If the scarf is made of silk, the edges can be finished in several ways. The first method involves manual work - take the edge of the scarf, tuck it with a roll and attach it to the wrong side of the product with a needle and thread of a suitable color. Another option is typewriter processing. Fold back the allowance and sew as close to the fold line as possible. The excess part of the fabric left for the allowance is cut off. Then fold back and sew again. The distance from the line to the edge of the product should be one to two millimeters. The new seam should be slightly higher than the previous one.
Step 2
If the scarf is made of viscose or other non-flowing material, it is enough to process it with a zigzag on a sewing machine. A double scarf can be processed like this: fold the product right side in and sew along the perimeter, leaving a small area unstitched. It is left in order to turn the product back onto the front side. The remaining piece can be manually sewn with invisible stitches.
Step 3
Very thin fabrics, such as chiffon, are also zigzagged, it just requires a suitable needle and a suitable sewing machine setting. In addition, some typewriters have an overlock stitch, which is also suitable for such cases.
Step 4
In a woolen scarf, it is enough to simply close the loops, and then you can start a crocheted pattern along the edges. Find the right knitting pattern for your accessory. Another treatment option is to start up the brushes. To do this, take a yarn, fold the thread several times. Bend the resulting bundle in half and cut one edge so that the threads dangle freely. Mark the scarf itself so that there is the same distance between the brushes. Thread the resulting piece through the hole in the yarn. The top of the yarn bundle is a loop. Pass the free edge through this loop - the brush is ready.
