As you know, it is the correct window decoration that gives the interior sophistication. Correctly selected curtains and tulle create a feeling of complete completeness of the entire composition and create a comfortable atmosphere in the room. The most important thing is that you decide on how the tulle itself should look. It can be made simple and even, or you can come up with more original options with all kinds of color transitions, folds and clips. Unlike curtains, tulle is more expensive and therefore it will be much cheaper to sew tulle with your own hands, and accordingly sew a braid to it.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a braid, preferably the same color as the tulle. Of course, if there are folds on the tulle, then it is better to take a transparent braid and not very wide.
Step 2
Measure the braid for the top of the tulle, it should be the same width as the tulle, and for the pleats it should be slightly less than the length of the tulle itself.
Step 3
Determine the required length of the tulle, then carefully mark a line on it with chalk and cut it off. Sew while folding the side edges of the tulle.
Step 4
Sew a trim to the bottom of the tulle from the wrong side, then wrap this trim on the right side of the tulle and sew.
Step 5
Make uniform gathers along the entire length of the tulle and sew a sheer tape from the wrong side.
Step 6
Twist in several layers at the top of the tulle, then sew and iron.
Step 7
Attach the tulle tape to the top of the tulle first with the right side inward and sew along the top edge.
Step 8
Fold over to the wrong side and sew along the bottom edge of the tape.
Step 9
When everything has been stitched, pull up the top tape on both sides to evenly distribute the relaxed, tight gathers on the tulle. After that, carefully tie the rest of the threads that hang from the braid, both at the top and bottom of the tulle. But do not rush to cut them, as they can be decorated with various pebbles or decorations. All this will add even more beauty to your work. Now you can definitely hang the tulle with braid on the cornice.
