The tulle that you buy in the store does not always fit the width or length of your window. And at the same time, it is not always possible to resort to the help of a seamstress. Therefore, it is very useful to be able to sew tulle yourself.

It is necessary

tulle cut, curtain tape, white thread, large ruler, scissors, sewing machine

Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to accurately determine the length and width of the tulle, then buy a suitable cut in the store or cut the desired length from the already purchased material. You should measure with the help of a large tailor's ruler (you can design something similar yourself). It's okay if you mark the cut boundaries with a pen. Trim off excess material with a small amount of material so that you can work on the edges later.

Step 2

Hem seam the side edges of the tulle. Usually they are folded twice, but if the edges are crumbling heavily, then three folds can be made.

Step 3

The bottom is processed with inlay. Sew one edge of the inlay from the wrong side, then turn the inlay to the front side. Sew one line on the sewing machine across the front of the tape.

Step 4

It's time to sew on the curtain tape. To do this, a curtain tape must be attached to the front side of the tulle. Be sure to put the front side inward.

Step 5

Sew the tulle with tape carefully along the top edge on a sewing machine. Secure the thread. Then bend the curtain tape to the other, seamy side. Sew the tape along the bottom edge. Also put one line on the sewing machine through the middle of the tape. Sew on the edges of the tape on the sides and iron all the edges of the tulle.
