In order to neatly hem the organza tulle, you first need to decorate the sides of the tulle, then sew the braid, if necessary, and hang the product on the cornice. The fabric should hang for a couple of days, after which you can safely make a hem on the cornice, basting or cleaving with needles. After that, it is better to remove the tulle from the organza and delay the intended seams.

Instructions

Step 1

For an even cut, pull the thread all the way down the fabric and cut along the skip. There are some types of organza that break perfectly, however, they can fold, so gently iron this area, only lightly applying the sole of the iron to the fabric.

Step 2

In order to evenly cut the edge of the organza, you need to pull the thread along the entire length of the fabric and make an incision along the pass from the thread. If your tulle has embroidery, then it will not hurt, the stretched thread will be visible anyway. You can also pull the thread not along the entire length, but in small sections. For example, you can pull the thread up to a fragment of embroidery, and then the embroidery should be cut to the fabric without an ornament, then you can again pick up the thread and gently pull it out. There is another option when the organza breaks perfectly. But when it comes off, it begins to fold, so you need to gently smooth it out, only slightly applying the hot sole of the iron to the fabric.

Step 3

If you did not succeed in hemming the organza tulle in the way that you originally intended, or if some other sewing force majeure has arisen, then you can go to the emergency option and use the technical fold of the fabric of 10 cm. Stitch along the fabric, and not along the tape, leaving a few lines around the edges and in the center of the tape. Stitch the ribbon to the organza tulle with two stitches if the ribbon is not too wide, and three if the ribbon is wide enough. Fold the fabric at the top under the tape twice. Leave a small margin at the top if you want a gathered curtain to appear above the tape.

Step 4

It is better not to hem the side seams on the organza tulle with an overlock. The best option here is to tuck the fabric, gently ironing, but not pulling, then tucking it again and stitching in the same way. Observe the fold width of 5 mm.
