First you need to find out what metal the bracelet is made of. If the metal is soft, then you can use simple pliers. To do this, it is necessary to clamp the excess link with the tool, straighten it and remove it. It is best to make sure you remove enough links before securing the bracelet. To do this, attach the bracelet to your hand and close it. Doesn't it hang out? Then you need to slightly straighten the two links closest to each other in the area of rupture and connect them into a whole chain. It is necessary to work very carefully, especially if the metal is covered with a coloring layer (scratches may remain). If the metal is more durable, a soldering iron can be used to secure the bracelet.
Step 3
There are watches with bracelets not in the form of a chain, but in the form of a flat embossed strip. These links are fastened together with small studs, usually on the right side. To remove the excess link, carefully remove the studs with a needle or awl. After that, try on the bracelet and fasten the adjacent particles in the same way.

If your watch is made of precious metals, then if you are not a professional, it is still better to contact a workshop. Repair of this type costs no more than 200 rubles, and if you make mistakes, the price can double or even triple.
