An original handmade knitted bookmark for books can serve as an excellent souvenir for your loved ones, friends and girlfriends. It is not difficult to do it, you just need to be able to crochet the most basic loops: single crochet, crochet, loose crochet and air loops.

It is necessary

  • -20g of fine bright cotton yarn;
  • -hook No. 2-2, 5;
  • - a contrasting color

Instructions

Step 1

The first option for knitting a bookmark.

First row. First, tie a chain of an even number of air loops along the length of the bookmark. On the 9th loop from the hook, tie a double crochet and an air loop. Skip 1 loop at the base and in the second loop again tie 1 double crochet and an air loop. Continue to knit in the same way to the end of the chain of stitches - knit one column with two crochets and an air loop in every other loop of the base.

Step 2

Second row. Having knitted the last column, turn the work inside out, knit 3 lifting loops. Perform double crochets on double crochets and stitches from the previous row. When you get to a chain of 8 loops, knit like this: on two loops of the chain, tie one column with a crochet. On the third loop, tie 3 double crochets. Then again, on two loops of the base, tie one column with a crochet, and in the third loop - 3 columns with a crochet. In the two remaining loops of the chain, tie one column with a double crochet. Turn the work stitches down and continue crocheting on the back of the initial chain of stitches. Finish the row.

Step 3

Third row. Twist knitting, make 3 lifting loops. On the second base loop, tie a crochet slingshot: 1 double crochet, a ring of three air loops, 1 double crochet. Knit such slingshots in every 3rd loop of the previous row. At the turn of the bookmark, knit slingshots on every other loop of the base.

Step 4

The second option for knitting a bookmark.

Knit the first two rows in the same way as in the first option. Finish the second row, twist knitting.

Third row. Tie 3 lifting loops and 4 more chain loops. On the second loop of the base, tie a loose crochet stitch - do not knit the last loop - leave it on the hook. On the 4th and 6th stitches of the base, also perform one untied double crochet. Then knit all the loops on the hook at once, in one step. The result is a bunch of three double crochets on the 2nd, 4th and 6th loop of the base.

Step 5

Then tie 4 stitches and a second bunch of three double crochets. The first column of the second bundle is knitted on the same loop as the last column of the first bundle. Continue knitting in this manner until turning. At the turn between the bundles, knit a chain of 5 air loops, and knit the loose columns of the bundle on each loop of the base.

Step 6

End of knitting.

Finish the row, tighten the thread. Cut off. Draw a tape or knitted strip in a contrasting color between the double crochet posts.
