It is necessary

  • - a piece of wood;
  • - watercolor;
  • - water;
  • - PVA glue;
  • - gold acrylic;
  • - PVA tempera;
  • - gold, white pearl gouache;
  • - gold gel pen;
  • - PF varnish;
  • - brushes.

Instructions

Step 1

Before you start painting, carefully sand each shape with fine sandpaper. Now prime the molds with glue diluted with water to prevent the watercolor from spreading.

Step 2

After the forms are dry, draw a drawing of the matryoshka with a simple pencil. If the eraser fails to remove the failed elements, you can use fine-grained sandpaper. After drawing the drawing, start coloring. For the background of the scarves, mix yellow watercolor with gouache liquid and apply in one layer.

Step 3

For the shirt, mix blue watercolors with white pearl gouache. This time make the paint thicker than for the handkerchief. Apply multiple coats. Decorate the sleeves and hem of the shirt with blue watercolor, highlighting the folds and shadows. Highlight the light areas with whitewash. Color the hem of the sundress with blue tempera. Highlight the folds on the scarf in orange.

Step 4

Now write the face of the matryoshka. The general appearance of the doll depends on how you write the face and hands of the matryoshka. Better to apply watercolor to raw wood. Outline the dark parts of the face with light ocher. Now deepen the shadows with dark ocher. Go through all dark places with brown paint. Color your hands like your face. After applying the eyeshadow, highlight the prominent parts of the face and hands. Make it white, very liquid tempera.

Step 5

Paint the eyes with watercolors mixed with tempera. Apply water color to lips and top with liquid white tempera. Outline the face clearly and draw the fingers. Decorate the shirt by painting blue watercolor polka dots or flowers. To highlight the sleeves against a dark background, outline them in white tempera.

Step 6

Using gold gouache, mark the folds on the sundress. Use a gold gel pen to make patterns on the hem of the sundress. Trim the scarf and the bottom of the sundress with white dots. Add highlights with white tempera on the lips, eyes, nose, chin and arms. Paint the hair in black or brown.

Step 7

After placing the molds on the pins, cover them with varnish. Typically, you need to apply about 5 coats. After making the fourth layer, if necessary, sand the matryoshka with sandpaper to remove wood fibers and dust particles.
