Almost any flag with a simple pattern can be woven from beads. It does not require complex skills, weaving takes one to two hours. On the basis of the flag scheme, key rings, pendants, earrings and even bracelets are obtained.
It is necessary
A checkered notebook, colored markers, an image of a flag, multicolored beads, threads or fishing line, a beading needle
Instructions
Step 1
You can find a ready-made scheme for the flag on the Internet or create it yourself. In a checkered notebook, draw a rectangle that matches the size of the beaded flag you want to make. The number of cells should be equal to the number of beads. Color in the squares with colored pencils or felt-tip pens so that you get a drawing similar to the image of the flag. Complex images can be processed with special embroidery programs that break the design into the desired number of pixels.
Step 2
Take a needle, thread or thin line into it. Cast on a thread all the beads of the first row (you can start weaving the flag from any of its sides).
Step 3
The second bead row will be woven into the first one so that each bead of the second row is above the corresponding bead of the first one. Check the diagram when choosing each bead. Weave the first bead of the second row to the first bead of the first, tracing them in a circle with a needle and thread. Then braid the second, third, etc. in the same way.
Step 4
The third and subsequent rows of beads are woven in the same way. If the thread is over and you need to add a new one, tie the ends of the old and new threads together, tie them between the beads of the previous row. And make some knots for more security.
Step 5
The resulting beaded rectangle must be fitted with fittings to get the finished product. Sew a bead loop of 5-8 beads to one of the sides of the flag. Pass the fishing line through the beads of the loop several times, making it as strong as possible. If you need to make earrings, attach hooks to the beaded flag and make a pair to this earring. If you need a keychain, attach the metal keyring to the flag.
