Beads are a versatile material for making jewelry, decorating clothes and accessories. Especially often bracelets are woven from it - jewelry is quite spectacular and does not require much labor. The weaving of a wide bracelet has practically no fundamental differences compared to other types of jewelry.

It is necessary

  • Beads;
  • Beaded needle;
  • Lavsan or polyester thread;
  • Two or three small carabiner locks or one three-thread lock.

Instructions

Step 1

Mosaic technique (otherwise - peyote) is very convenient in working with beads. In it, the beads are arranged according to the honeycomb principle, that is, the rows are displaced relative to each other by half the width of the beads. Weave the first wide bracelet from solid beads to understand the principle. Beads from the Czech Republic or Japan are ideal, since the beads do not differ in size. Therefore, the width of the bracelet will not change.

Step 2

Cast on the first bead on a needle. Leave the end of the thread 10-15 cm long after it. You will attach the lock to it later. Thread the bead again to secure with a loop.

Cast on an even number of beads. Compare the length of the beaded strip that you choose to the desired width of the bracelet If everything is in order, dial one more bead, which now count as the first one.

Step 3

Pass through the third bead in the opposite direction. You will get a loop of two outer beads. Pick up one more bead and go through the fifth of the beads. So alternate between adding new beads and securing the odd ones previously dialed.

Step 4

When you reach the end of the row, cast on the beads, change direction again and weave another row. Repeat until you reach the desired length for the wrist.

Step 5

At the end of the work, attach to the edges of the halves of the clasps-carabiners or a single lock with three threads. Hide the ends of the threads in the bracelet.

Step 6

Having understood the principle, use different patterns for wide bracelets using the mosaic weaving technique: weave ornaments and patterns, use beads of different sizes and colors, bugles, cuttings and other materials.
