The robot dance is a style that was borrowed from the mimes. It became widespread in America in about 60-70s. Despite all the seeming simplicity of movements, this dance is quite difficult, it requires a lot of time and effort to train.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide if you want to dance alone at home, individually with a teacher, or in a group. If you are attracted to the latter two options, search for relevant classifieds to find out which dance schools are in your city. If you are in doubt about the choice, attend a trial lesson or just stop by to watch a group already in training. By the way, it is easier to start classes and learn the basics together with other dancers. In such schools, coaches not only teach movement, but also help overcome fear of public speaking by maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the classroom.
Step 2
It will not be superfluous to listen to the corresponding music and watch video materials. Download them from the Internet for free, or purchase special courses. The teacher will tell and show you many movements from the screen, explain how you should move. This will help you diversify your dance performances, making them brighter, more interesting and impulsive. The main thing is not to be afraid to move, do not think that someone is looking at you. Just practice in front of the mirror more often, this will save you from unnecessary shyness in the dance.
Step 3
Experienced dancers recommend that you spend at least 20-25 minutes in training. If possible, do an hour lesson at least a couple of times a week.
Step 4
If possible, attend the dancers' meetings at the club. It's worth it, because even watching the movements of already experienced dancers will help you understand a lot. By analyzing their dance, you can compare it with your performance, understand what you did right and where you were wrong. In addition, at such meetings, you can get good first-hand advice that will help you improve the learned movements and learn many new techniques.
