The geometric pattern of rhombuses on knitted fabrics never goes out of style. Products decorated in this way are perfect for people of different genders, children and adults. At first glance, rapports (repeating relief elements) can seem complicated. However, at its core, it is a different combination of simple front and back loops. Carefully follow the knitting pattern, write down the manipulations done in a workbook. With proper practice, you will learn how to knit diamonds from memory.

It is necessary

  • - yarn;
  • - two straight knitting needles.

Instructions

Step 1

Dial a certain number of loops for the sample of the "rhombus" pattern. The main rule: their number should be a multiple of sixteen, plus a pair of edge loops and one loop for the symmetry of the pattern. For example: 32 + 2 + 1 = 35 stitches on your knitting needles.

Step 2

Start knitting diamonds with a row made with purl stitches only. From the second row, you will already begin to alternate the front and back loops.

Step 3

In the second (and then in the thirtieth!) Row, do the following sequential repetitions: 8 front loops, then 1 purl and 7 front. Continue the entire row with this pattern. Please note: his last 8 loops are knitted only with front loops.

Step 4

Knit the third row according to the pattern: over the front loops, perform the front loops, over the purl loops - purl. Do the same in the next odd rows.

Step 5

Start knitting the fourth row of "rhombuses". Attention: according to this pattern, you need to make the 28th row. So, at the beginning of the row, knit 7 front loops, then 3 purl and 6 front. At the end of the row, you should have 7 knit stitches.

Step 6

Do the sixth (later - and 26) row. Now you have to alternate 6 front loops, 5 purl loops and 5 more front loops.

Step 7

The eighth row (and 24), start with 5 front loops, then make 3 purl and front loops; again purl 3 and facial 4. Continue in the same sequence, ending the row of 5 with the facial ones.

Step 8

Tenth (and 22) row: 4 front loops, then 3 purl and 3 more front; 5 purl loops and the same number of front loops. At the end of the row there are two pairs of front loops.

Step 9

Follow the twelfth row (then, according to his model, - 20). At its beginning - 3 front loops, the next 3 are performed with purl; then - a pair of front, purl and another pair of front loops; 3 purl loops and again a pair of knit loops. At the end of the working row, 3 front loops are performed.

Step 10

The fourteenth row will serve as a model for the eighteenth. It starts with a pair of front loops, then there are 3 purl loops, another pair of front loops; purl, front and purl again; pair of front loops, 3 purl and front loops. Repeat these sequential alternations until you finish the row with two knit stitches.

Step 11

The sixteenth row begins with a single front loop of the pattern, followed by 3 purl loops and 2 front loops; further - purl, front, purl, front, purl; finally, a pair of front loops and 3 purl loops. At the end of the row, do the facial. If you did everything correctly, then the first row of identical elements of the "rhombus" pattern has formed on the knitted fabric.

Step 12

Read the diamond knitting guide carefully and repeat as needed. The seventeenth (odd) row is knitted according to the pattern of the third row, the eighteenth - as the fourteenth (see paragraph 10), etc. When you get to the thirty-second row, complete only the front loops in it. Then you need to repeat all the manipulations from the first row.
