Products made with double viscous look not only original, they are warmer and softer, moreover, they are double-sided, which means that they can be worn as two different clothes. This effect is achieved thanks to a special knitting method - it is called either double knitting or a hollow elastic band, when only the front loops are knitted in each row, and the purl loops are simply removed (in another version, only the front loops are knitted in the first row, the purl loops are removed, and in the second - they are knitted) purl, and facial are removed). It only seems complicated at first glance - in fact, everything is quite simple.

Instructions
Step 1
Cast on the required number of stitches on the needles. Do not forget that for double knitting you need an even number of loops, plus 2 hem.
Step 2
It is necessary to knit the product according to the scheme: 1 knit front loop, 1 - removed from the wrong side, without knitting, while the thread should be "before work".
Step 3
However, in order to create a two-color elastic band, it is necessary to alternate 2 rows of different colors, that is, knit according to the scheme: first row: 1 front loop, 1 loop is removed from the back without knitting, the thread "before work"; second row: 1 loop is removed with the front one without knitting, while the thread is "at work", 1 purl.
Step 4
To create a double-sided fabric, the knitting pattern changes slightly: first, the row is knitted with one, and then with the second thread, conditionally they can be divided into main and auxiliary. The main one will be the one from which the background of the product is knitted, the auxiliary one will be the thread of the pattern. A set of loops is made with the main thread. The number of loops should also be even, but there should be two times more of them than necessary according to the figure. 1st row knit according to the standard pattern indicated above: 1 front, 1 purl. Next, pull all the loops onto the right knitting needle and tying the auxiliary thread, knit the same row with it according to the scheme: remove 1 front loop, thread "at work", knit 1 purl. 2nd row: knit a row of the main thread according to the picture, then drag the canvas on a free knitting needle and knit the same row with an auxiliary thread: the purl loop is removed without knitting (thread "before work"), the front loop is knitted. The next rows are knitted in accordance with the first two, that is, all odd rows are knitted as the 1st row, all even ones are like row 2, so you should end up with a piece with one side of the same color and the other of the other.
Step 5
If you want to knit a pattern: during knitting with the main thread, remove the desired front loop in the front row without knitting, and knit it in the same row with an auxiliary thread. The same can be done with the purl loop in the purl row.
