If you've already mastered knitting simple patterns, try double mittens. This is a very comfortable piece of clothing that will serve you well in the harsh winter frosts. Such products are especially recommended for children who love winter walks - they can not be afraid that their hands will quickly become numb from playing with snow. Learning to knit double mittens is easy. Basically, you need to make four parts, two of which will act as the "face" of the product, and two will serve as the lining.

Instructions
Step 1
Start knitting a regular (top) mitten for the left hand. To do this, you need to dial the required number of loops, dividing them equally for each of the four stocking needles. Select the size of the future double mittens individually. The easiest way to clarify it is by tying several rows with an elastic band and pulling the unfinished knitted pattern over the palm of your hand.
Step 2
Having specified the size of the double mittens, tie an elastic band 1x1 (one front and one purl) or 2x2 (two front and two purl) seven centimeters in height. Next, complete the first circular row with knit stitches with knit stitches); in this case, it is necessary to add one loop on each working spoke.
Step 3
Tie a circular piece of fabric to the beginning of your thumb and remove several open loops by stringing them onto a pin. Also measure the required hole size for the subsequent execution of the finger individually, calculating the knitting density.
Step 4
Next, you need to knit the mitten to the level of the index finger and turn the loose product inside out. Now cast loops around the edges of the elastic of the outer mitten to work on the inner lining piece. To do this, thread a thread from the edge of the work, tie it with a knot and pull out the loops with a crochet hook, stringing them onto the working stocking needles.
Step 5
Follow the "twin" mitten. When finished, also on the tip of the index finger, close the toe of the product. To do this, you need to remove each last loop of the circular row on the next working needle and knit it together with the next loop. As a result, you should have one loop on the knitting needles (four in total).
Step 6
Pull the thread through the remaining open loops and pull it tight. Using a crochet hook, the thread must be pulled to the wrong side of the work. Finish knitting the top of the front mitten in the same way.
Step 7
Next, you need to tie your thumb on one, and then repeat it on the other mitten. Make sure that the inner and outer toe fits perfectly. It is convenient to first make the inner finger, put it in the hole for the outer finger and then tie it around.
Step 8
Follow the finger as follows: string the loops on the pin on the knitting needle; add the same number of air loops and a couple of side loops. Spread them evenly over the three working needles and make circular rows down to the middle of the nail. When knitting the top, close one loop in each row until there are only a couple of loops left on the knitting needles. Tighten the toe with thread.
Step 9
Perform the second, right, double mitten in the same manner. When finished, carefully insert the inner mitten into the outer one, carefully straightening all the folds. For ease of use (so that the lining part does not slip out of the front part every now and then), make a couple of inconspicuous stitches on the tops of the fingers and the toe of the product, fixing the details.
