Finger puppets are figurines worn on the fingers. In psychology, there is such a term as "puppet therapy". It includes just working with finger puppets and not only the game itself, but also the development of characters, the independent production of figures. They can be made in different ways - from the simplest (made of paper or cardboard) to the more complex (sewn or knit).

It is necessary

  • - thick cardboard,
  • - colored paper,
  • - glue,
  • - scotch tape,
  • - scissors,
  • - markers,
  • - accessories for decorating toys.

Instructions

Step 1

In addition to therapy, playing with such dolls develops curiosity in the child, an interest in creativity, helps to get rid of shyness and develops speech. Before you start making dolls, choose a fairy tale that you will play with your child. The choice can be based on the child's age, interests and preferences.

Step 2

After choosing a fairy tale, discuss each character. Determine how he looks, what size, what colors prevail in his appearance. Pay attention to the character of the characters, answer the child's questions, if any, and start creating dolls.

Step 3

Using a pencil, draw the shape of the head and neck of the character on thick cardboard. This will determine the size of the future doll. The neck should be no shorter than 5 cm and no thinner than 1.5 cm. Carefully cut the resulting image.

Step 4

Decorate the doll's head. Draw the eyes, nose, mouth, make ears out of colored paper and attach them with glue. Decorate the child, because he can have his own vision of the character. Help him, direct his actions, but do not limit the imagination of your young designer.

Step 5

To prepare the so-called "thimble" - a holder for a doll, take a strip of paper, roll it into a tube and secure it with glue or tape. Glue the decorated doll head to one end. Another hole is for a finger. It's even easier to make a doll out of a tennis ball or a kinder surprise case. It is enough to make a hole for your finger and decorate the toy.

Step 6

Don't just stop at making a doll. Work on other decorations for your show. You can cut a house, fence and other elements from cardboard. Don't forget the stage and backstage. Let the child independently make an announcement of the performance that you will show to the audience. The fact that he himself took part in the preparation of the characters will add confidence to him.
