For owners of summer cottages, garages and small home workshops, a welding inverter is an indispensable thing. There are no problems with its acquisition today - the choice in stores is huge. Well, what if you try to assemble the inverter yourself? As practice shows, for this it is necessary to be well versed in electrical engineering, the presence of the necessary parts, the desire and ability to put it all together.
Instructions
Step 1
So, one of the simplest options is a 32A / 220V welding inverter. Provides welding current within 250A. The device is capable of producing an arc up to a centimeter in length, turning into a low-temperature plasma. The efficiency of the inverter is in accordance with industrial standards.
Step 2
Wind the transformer and assemble on the core Ш8х8 2000nm with a gap of 0.05mm. In the primary winding, wind 125 turns of 0.35 mm wire. In the secondary windings, wind 11 turns with the same wire.
Form a 1A winding with a wire of 0.5 mm. Your power supply should not exceed 350 grams. The welding machine itself can be made in two versions - with a frequency of 41 kHz and 55 kHz. In the second case, to increase the PV of the transformer, you will need to make 9 turns per 3 turns. For a 41 kHz transformer, prepare two sets of W20x28 2000 nm, with a gap of 0.05 mm and a newspaper spacer, as well as a copper tape in paper.
Step 3
Make the transformer windings from copper tape 0.25 mm thick and 40 mm wide. As insulation, you can use paper from the cash register. Make the secondary winding of three layers of tin, isolated from each other with fluoroplastic tape. The contact ends of the secondary winding at the output are soldered together so that the conductivity of high-frequency currents is higher.
Step 4
The choke should be made on the basis of a Ш20х28 2000nm core with five turns of 25 sq. mm with a gap of 0.15-0.5 mm with two layers of paper from the printer. The current transformer is a current sensor with two K30x18x7 rings, where the primary winding wire is threaded through the ring. The secondary winding consists of 85 turns of 0.5 mm wire. There are many other homemade inverter models. In particular, for small welding work at home, craftsmen created an inverter based on a computer power supply, where a radiator from PIV was used as a cooler, divided into three parts, where an IRG4PC5OU transistor was mounted on two smaller parts, and KD2997A output diodes were mounted on the remaining part. …
