Dragons are powerful and amazing creatures, which some call "kings of mythical creatures." It will most likely be difficult for a novice artist to convey all their power and greatness, but you can try to draw a dragon in stages.
Instructions
Step 1
Lay the sketchbook horizontally Draw two circles at the bottom at the same level. One of them should be smaller than the other. Draw a small circle above the larger of the shapes. From him - half-oval. All these circles are the head, chest and back of the dragon.
Step 2
From the larger sphere, draw two curved lines (front legs), and one broken line up at three places (base of the wing). From the middle circle, draw a line for the paw and future tail. At this stage, drawing a dragon is no different from an image of, for example, a horse. However, its paws are much smaller than those of an ungulate.
Step 3
Connect all three circles together. As a result, you should learn the torso and neck of the dragon. Remember that dragons are large lizards that are quite flexible and sinuous. Do not connect the circles with straight lines.
Step 4
Draw the head. Dragons tend to have gills-like ears. The nostrils are located almost at the very end of the mouth, and horns rise above the eyes.
Step 5
Trace the lines of the paws with an outline. Remember that dragons are strong creatures, so their limbs must be muscular, otherwise they simply cannot hold their body and push off the ground to take off the air.
Step 6
Draw the wings. From the curved line, draw several segments (bones) and connect their ends to each other with concave lines (straps). The note about limb muscularity applies to the wings as well.
Step 7
Add details. Add thorns on the back and neck of the dragon. Divide the body into a scaly piece and an unprotected belly. Draw the claws and fangs of the dragon. Depending on the nature of the creature, add wrinkles and darkening.
