One of the popular gaming applications on the web is Angry Birds. Since its inception, it has been downloaded about a billion times. Its plot is quite simple: angry birds reclaim the eggs stolen from them. The development company Rovio has found a new way to interpret the plot of Angry Birds and is releasing the next product, Bad Piggies. Now gamers will be able to play as opponents of birds - green pigs.

Rovio CEO Michael Head said that they received so many sympathetic responses to these negative characters that they decided to give users a glimpse of the Angry Birds gaming universe with the green eyes of egg thieves. True, the birds that are loved by the public will not be here. According to the plot, the pigs ended up on a desert island and, in order to get out, they will need to build various devices and vehicles. So the game can be more like a puzzle.

According to the developers, the gameplay is different from other Rovio releases, and the famous slingshots will not be used to control the characters. However, Bad Piggies will retain a three-star rating system, which should encourage players to give their best at each level.

It should be noted that the pigs from Angry Birds looked quite aggressive and made disgusting sounds. However, project designer Petri Järvilehto said that this time the pigs will be cheerful, lively and prettier in appearance. But whether the piglets will differ in species and have special abilities, as was the case with the birds that attacked them, remains unclear. No screenshots of the game have been made public yet. Only a small and uninformative teaser of Something pig is coming is available.

The Bad Piggies app will be available to the general public on September 27, 2012. It will cost 99 cents and can be downloaded via Google Play or the App Store. Versions for iOS, Mac, Android operating systems will also be released, but the release for Windows will take place a little later.
