First of all, you need to pay attention to whether the configuration of the user's computer meets the technical requirements of the game. Information on the system can be found by right-clicking in the "My Computer" folder on "System Properties". Must meet the minimum requirements: operating system, processor frequency, amount of RAM, video controller.

Unfortunately, this problem can be solved only by complete or partial modernization of the computer. The exception is the possibility of "overclocking" the processor, but this can be done safely not with all PC models.

Another reason could be the lack of required hardware drivers. A very common problem is that after starting the game, the user hears a sound, but the screen is dark. In 99% of cases, this means that you need to update the video controller driver. If the brand of the video card is unknown, then the following operations should be performed: right-click on the “My Computer” shortcut, select “Properties”, then “Hardware”. Next, the "Device Manager" tab, in the list that appears, click "Video adapters". Here you will see the brand and model number. After that, go to the manufacturer's website and in the "Support" section download the necessary drivers or use special software such as Driver Pack.

Also, the game may not start due to the old version of DirectX. This component is a set of ready-made classes, procedures, functions used for compatibility between games and Windows OS. The newer version can be downloaded and installed for free from the Microsoft website.

Lack of virtual memory. This attribute is usually not specified in requirements. Most often, most programs inform the user that there is not enough virtual memory on the system disk. This means that the computer stores information to the maximum in RAM, and reserves the rest on the hard disk in a certain section, which is not used to store other information. Some games require the amount of this memory to be larger than originally specified in the OS settings. To change the configuration, go to "My Computer", "Properties". In the window that opens, select "Advanced", "Parameters", "Performance". After that, go to another tab "Advanced". This is where the "Virtual memory" section is located, in which you should increase the required parameter.

Another reason is viruses. There are many of them on the Internet. The goal of all malware is to harm your computer. The problem can be solved if the OS is completely disinfected with an antivirus program.
