Wigs are increasingly used not for daily wear, but in order to surprise the audience during festivities, carnivals, parties. When a wig is needed as an element of a New Year's or Halloween costume, as well as in order to "cover" a bald head for a doll or a mannequin, it is not necessary to use a ready-made one, you can try to make it yourself.
It is necessary
Threads, hook, tinsel, alcohol-based permanent markers
Instructions
Step 1
A carnival wig can be made with a crochet hook and thick synthetic yarn (tinsel, etc. can be used instead of yarn). To do this, the base of the wig must be tied in the form of a hat, using double crochets for this. The knit should not be tight or tight. When the warp is ready, you need to cut pieces of thread of the required length from the yarn. Taking 3-4 segments, you can fold the threads in half and pull them in the same way as when they make a fringe for scarves. The more often you pull the tufts, the thicker the wig will become, and the base will be less noticeable. You need to start threading the strands from the top of the head, and finish along the edge of the cap. After all the strands have been threaded, you can trim the bangs with a wig or braid.
Step 2
To make a wig with a bald head, you can use a rubber cap or the top of an old felt hat. Leaving the crown intact, you need to go from temple to temple with a loop seam. Having made several rows of loops, they need to be cut.
Step 3
A doll wig can be made in much the same way as a carnival wig. In work, you need to use polyacrylic and cotton threads. First, the fillet mesh is knitted with cotton threads. Then the acrylic threads are cut (they will serve as hair) of the required length. The doll hair is attached to the base like a fringe of a scarf. Along the edges of the cap, threads must be tied in each cell, and then in a checkerboard pattern. At the end of the work, you need to pull the elastic into the first row of the wig base, and then sew its ends. Then the wig will fit snugly on the doll's head.
Step 4
Sewing a synthetic fiber wig at home is, of course, almost impossible. But you can take such a wig as a basis, and then "adjust" it for yourself - make a haircut, style, paint (for example, using permanent markers on an alcohol base, etc.), and in order to achieve a greater resemblance of a wig with real hair, it would be nice to draw the overgrown roots of the wig (for example, dark on a light wig). This option is convenient because a bold New Year's "experiment" with hair will cost nothing to the health of the hair.
