Costume parties are a joyful and exciting event not only for children, but also for adults. Adults, like children, are happy to come up with roles and images, prepare costumes and hairstyles for joint holidays, and not a single costume and image is complete without a headdress or a wig. What if you don’t know where to get a wig for a costume, or you just don’t want to spend extra money on it? You can make a wig with your own hands.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to make a homemade wig, you need basic crochet skills. Take the yarn and, putting on the first loop of the working thread, knit a chain of as many stitches as the girth of your head.
Step 2
Continue to tie the chain of air loops in a spiral with ordinary single crochets. After a few rows, begin to gradually decrease the loops, knitting two loops together. In this way, continue to knit in a spiral until you knit to the top point that closes the knitted spiral.
Step 3
You have knitted a hat that should fit snugly around your head. Tie the cap in the same color you chose for your wig. Now take a yarn of a suitable shade for the future "hair" and cut it into threads of the required length. The length of the strands should match the desired length of the hair strands in the wig.
Step 4
Starting from the top of the head, use a crochet hook to fasten the threads, folded in half, on the knitted posts, by analogy with an ordinary fringe. Try to fill the spiral lines of the cap with strands of threads tightly so that there are no voids and gaps between the strands. For splendor, fasten two or three pieces of thread in one loop at once.
Step 5
After the entire cap has been filled with fringe and you have threaded the edge of the cap, try on the wig and tuck the hair into a hairstyle. If you want to make your hair look more natural, use artificial hair strands - kanekalon as a fringe.
