Often, having bought a beautiful doll with a gorgeous hairstyle for a child, after a couple of days we find it trimmed, or even bald. It happens that a child cuts a doll, thinking that her hair will grow back later. And it happens that the hair of a poor-quality doll falls out on its own, and ugly bald spots are obtained. In these cases, a doll wig will come to the rescue.

It is necessary

In order to make a doll wig, you will need a skein of yarn and fine threads, such as iris. Ideally, they should be the same color - then it will not be noticeable that the doll is just a wig. You will also need a thin elastic, preferably spandex

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to tie a blank for a wig - a small hat that will hold the hair on the doll's head. The hat should be crocheted from thin threads, constantly trying on it on the doll to the required size.

Step 2

Then you need to take a thin elastic band, use a hook to thread it along the bottom row of the cap - this way the wig will better hold on to the doll's head and will not fall off during the game.

Step 3

The base is ready. Now you need to attach hair to it.

Step 4

Take thick yarn. Measure the desired length of hair and cut off pieces from the skein twice as long as the measured length. Divide the yarn into its constituent strands. Further, each "hair" is attached to the cap like a fringe. Fold a piece of thread in half, pull it through the loop of the cap. The ends of the thread are inserted into a loop formed by the same thread and tightened.

Step 5

The most important thing in this business is to correctly distribute the threads-hairs over the entire surface of the cap. In no case should you attach "hair" to each loop of the hat, otherwise the hairstyle will become too voluminous and stick out in all directions. At the same time, due to the small number of threads, well-visible bald patches can be obtained. Therefore, it is worth deciding what the doll's hairstyle will be in advance. For example, if you want to style your wig in a high ponytail, it is enough to attach 2-3 layers of threads along the edges of the cap. If the doll has two pigtails or two tails, then you need to distribute the hair along the edge of the cap in 2-3 layers, make a parting on the head and attach a couple of layers of thread to both sides of the parting. If the doll is with loose hair and parting, then you will need to attach the hair along the edge of the cap from ear to ear, along the parting line and on the back of the head.

Step 6

Parting is done very simply: first, the line along which it will go is outlined. After that, the hair is attached in two rows along the parting line and shifted so that the threads from the right row go to the left, and from the left to the right. Such a parting turns out to be quite thick and reliably hides the base-hat.

Step 7

After all the hair is in place, trim the edges so that the hairstyle becomes even.
