Checkmate in two moves, otherwise stupid checkmate, is the fastest in classical chess and is considered a mistake for black pieces. Less commonly, this is called a checkmate with a queen or bishop along the h4-e1 or h5-e8 diagonals.
Instructions
Step 1
White pawn moves f2-f3. As a result, one of the squares of the h4-e1 diagonal, which is the closest to the king, opens on White's side. Black pawn answers e7-e6.
Step 2
White pawn moves g2-g4 and opens the diagonal completely. The black queen moves d8-h4 and announces check and checkmate to the white king. White's mistake was in the untimely opening of the king and in the absence of serious steps and actions.
Step 3
White can hardly make such a checkmate. To understand this, let's play the same moves in mirror order.
White pawn moves e2-e3. Black pawn responds with f7-f6.
Step 4
The white queen moves d1-h5 and declares check. Thus, Black already knows about the danger. Black pawn moves g6-g5 instead of g6-g4 and defends the king. The queen is forced to leave the cage, checkmate is broken in two moves.
Step 5
Despite its simplicity, checkmate has several options, depending on the order of pawn moves. Remember the main principle and calculate the complex of moves, not single steps.
