Hand-made accessories have become incredibly popular among fashionistas. Even such a practical thing as a backpack can become an original and stylish adornment of a summer outfit. Moreover, you can tie it with the most ordinary single crochet columns, so both an experienced and a novice needlewoman will cope with the work.

To crochet a backpack you will need:

- 250 g of cotton yarn of medium thickness of the main color;

- 100 g of a similar yarn in a contrasting color;

- hook number 4, 5.

Backpack bottom

Start knitting the backpack from the bottom. Cast on a chain of 4 chain stitches and close them in a ring. Tie one lift stitch and continue knitting.

In the first row, knit 11 single crochets, evenly distributing them around the circle. In the second, double their number, that is, knit 2 single crochets in each loop of the previous row. As a result, you should get 22 loops.

In the third, tie 33 stitches. To do this, in the first loop, knit 1 single crochet, and in the second do 2. Alternate in this way until the end of the row. In the fourth, knit 44 loops, in the first 2 loops of the row - one column in each. In the third, knit 2 single crochets, alternate knitting in a similar way until the end of the circle. In the fifth row, increase the number of columns to 55, also evenly distributing the increments. In the sixth, respectively, you should get 66 loops, and in the seventh - 77. Finish knitting the bottom and proceed to making the sides of the backpack.

Side sides

The sides of the backpack can be knitted with absolutely any pattern. The only rule is not to select a drawing with too large cells. Otherwise, you will end up with a string bag, and you risk losing the contents of your bag.

The simplest thing is to knit in a circle with single crochets. To do this, knit one column in each loop of the last row of the bottom. Then knit the canvas in a circle without increases or decreases.

Make holes at a height of 35-40 cm from the bottom. Work 5 single crochets, then make 3 crochets and continue single crochets skipping the next 2 stitches in the row. Continue knitting to the end of the circle. Then work another 5-7 cm in single crochet stitches straight. Tie the upper edge of the backpack with a thread of a contrasting color "crustacean step".

Webbing

Knit this piece of yarn in a contrasting color. Cast on a chain of six stitches and knit the next row with single crochet. Work the piece forward and backward to a length of about 1 meter.

Fold the resulting strap in half and sew along the fold line in the middle of the back of the backpack 2-3 cm above the holes. Sew the undersides of the straps to the underside of the sidewall at a distance of 25-30 cm from each other.

Strings

Make the ties also from yarn in a contrasting color. Cut 12 strands, 1 m each. Fold them together in a bun. Step back about 10 cm from the edge and tie in a knot. Then braid with an ordinary tight pigtail, not reaching the edge of 10 cm. Tie the knot again. Trim the ends of the cord, insert it into the holes, tighten and tie.
