Instructions

Step 1

To make a boat, prepare tools, as well as two boards 3, 6 meters long. Each plank should be 50 cm wide and 20 cm thick. Take two auxiliary planks and place them in such a position to hold the rails for building the boat - one plank should be placed a little higher and the other a little lower.

Step 2

For the bow brace of the boat, saw out a piece of timber, and then saw out the stern bar, the length of which should be 60 cm. The width of the stern bar is 25 cm.

Step 3

Bring the ends of the boards installed on the frame on the bow of the future boat and fix them on the timber cut for the bow brace using screws. Screw the opposite ends of the boards that will end up at the stern to the stern bar.

Step 4

Attach a wooden seat over the stern bar with screws. Thus, you have a base for a boat without a bottom. To install the bottom, turn the boat upside down and attach boards of the desired length and width to it, filling the empty space in the bottom.

Step 5

Then take the tow and, using a blunt chisel and mallet, firmly hammer all the cracks in the boat with tow. After filling the gaps with tow, grind the joints of the boards. From the inside of the boat, at a short distance from its bottom, fasten the slats that will become the basis of future seats.

Step 6

Place the seat boards over the slats and screw them on. Lastly, attach the oarlocks to the sides of the boat.
