Going to the reservoir, the fisherman expects to return home with a good catch. But first, the fish must be hooked. This is where a whole range of lures come in handy. Of course, when choosing them, you will have to take into account many factors: the time of the year, the water temperature, the depth of the reservoir in the place that is chosen for fishing, and finally, the type of fish.

Instructions

Step 1

If you expect to catch roach, medium-sized perch, silver bream, borer, crucian carp, ruff, worms will be the best type of bait. For example, an earthworm (crawling) or a dung worm. It is better to prepare them in advance and store them in a jar with earth or a bunch of wet grass before fishing. It is necessary to put the worm on the hook in such a way that it sits securely and disguises it (only the "sting" of the hook should protrude outward). The dungworm is preferable because it is also more brightly colored and wriggles on the hook, thus attracting fish, as opposed to the quieter worm.

Step 2

Maggots - meat fly larvae - will be a very good bait. Due to the fact that the larvae are very dense, they easily sit on the hook and wriggle for a long time. You can plant as one larva, or several at once.

Step 3

Fish also bite well on the larvae of caddis flies, bark beetles, and grasshoppers. A very effective bait is bloodworms, worm-like, bright red fiber mosquito larvae. But using it when fishing is not so easy, because the larvae are very delicate and when you try to put them on a hook, they often burst (flow out). To avoid this, you need, firstly, to use small hooks with a very thin and sharp sting, and secondly, to stick the bloodworms so that the sting passes through the head of the larva. It is recommended to put several larvae on the hook at once.

Step 4

In very hot weather, many species of fish become lethargic, reluctant to bite, especially on animal baits. It is better to try to lure them with corn grains, bread crumb. In order to attract the fish in advance to the place where fishing will be, scatter lumps of steeply cooked porridge (millet, buckwheat, pearl barley). Or put a mesh with rye breadcrumbs in the water.

Step 5

If you want to catch predatory fish (pike, pike perch, large perch), you need a spinning rod with a set of artificial lures. These are all kinds of spinners, wobblers, vibrotails, etc. It is simply impossible to predict in advance what kind of bait will attract a predator, therefore it is better to take with you several species of each, of different sizes, shapes and colors. The main thing is that the bait should attract the attention of the predator, remind him of the prey he is hunting. Therefore, in clear, transparent water, it is better to use baits that have a natural color, and in muddy water - bright, luminous ones.
