Instructions
Step 1
Consider a pattern to decorate future knitted socks. Draw a jacquard pattern on a piece of checkered notebook paper, where each square equals one knit stitch. Color the finished "mosaic" scheme with colored markers in accordance with the colors of the working skeins of yarn.
Step 2
You need to take into account both the density of knitting and the size of the feet of the future owner of the thing. If you choose not a separate, but a repeating pattern on the sock, then it will have to be done along the entire circular row. It should enter the knitted fabric completely, without interruption anywhere!
Step 3
It is recommended to decorate the elastic of the knitted sock with colored horizontal stripes. It is better to design the front surface with a single pattern or a repeating pattern, which follows after the elastic part of the product. To make a patterned sock, make a low elastic band, after which you can continue to work with the required number of circular rows of hosiery.
Step 4
Follow the pattern on the toe, painstakingly adhering to a specific jacquard knitting pattern. If you make a mistake in at least one loop, then the whole picture will be disrupted, and the work will have to be dismissed and redone. Pull the non-working threads along the wrong side of the sock so that they do not tighten the knitting. To avoid tangling the colored balls of yarn, place each ball in a separate plastic bag.
Step 5
Tie the patterned toe to the beginning of the heel. Make it monochromatic; it is advisable to choose the darkest yarn of all the colors presented. You can also connect two threads of different colors to knit this part of the product - the heel will look original and become more durable.
Step 6
Knit the pattern on the garment until you reach the beginning of your thumb. Next, perform sequentially alternating stripes from the main colors of the yarn, or arrange the toe of the product in the same style as the heel. You just have to round the toe; close the last loop; cut off the thread and crochet its free end to the wrong side of the work.
