To keep your baby's feet never cold, knit socks from soft and warm wool yarn. Although many believe that knitting them is very difficult and only for experienced knitters, this is by no means the case. You can make bright and beautiful socks yourself.
It is necessary
- - 100 g of yarn;
- - 5 needles No. 2, 5-3.
Instructions
Step 1
To find out the number of loops for the first typesetting row, measure the baby's leg. Two measurements are required: the circumference of the leg at the instep and at the bone. Now define the middle circumference of the leg. To do this, add both measurements and divide the result by two. For example, the girth of the baby's leg is 15 centimeters, the rise is 17 centimeters. Therefore, (15 + 17): 2 = 16 cm.
Step 2
Tie the sample and measure the number of loops in one centimeter. For example, you have 2 loops. Multiply the number of stitches by the mid-leg circumference. So, 2x16 = 32 loops. So cast on 32 stitches on the knitting needles. Then distribute them over four knitting needles. Close the circle and knit with a 1x1 elastic band (alternate the bottom of the front and one purl) to the required length. Typically, the cuff is five centimeters long.
Step 3
To the beginning of the heel, knit several rows with the front stitch, about 2-3 centimeters. Next, start tying the heel.
Step 4
Knit loops on the first and second needles 3-4 centimeters. For a stronger heel, add a simple thread such as darning to the woolen thread. After knitting the heel, tear off this thread and continue knitting only with wool.
Step 5
Having knitted the required length of the heel, proceed to the decrease, divide the number of loops by three. Start decreasing on the purl. Work the stitches of the first and second sections, and knit the last stitch of the second section and the first stitch of the third section together. Do not knit the remaining loops. Turn the work over and knit the loops of the central part, and the last loop of this part and the first loop of the first one knit together. Turn the work over and knit in the same way until all side loops have been removed.
Step 6
Now cast on the side of the heel as many loops as you subtracted. Then knit in a circle on the third and fourth needles and cast on the next side of the heel. The number of stitches on the needles must be the same.
Step 7
Knit the required size of the foot. Now knit the toe. To round it off, make decreases at the beginning and end of each knitting needle, knitting two stitches together. Pull the remaining loops, and thread the thread with the hook inside the sock.
Step 8
One sock for the baby is ready. Tie the second one in a similar way.
