Step 1
Pick up yarn. For a warm winter hat, thick woolen or semi-woolen yarn is suitable (100 g of yarn contains a thread 150-200 m long). Find a crochet hook. It needs to be comfortable: light, chipped, and with a deep beard. The thickness of the hook should be 2 times the thickness of the thread. Tie a control sample from columns in the form of a rectangle 10 cm by 10 cm. Process the sample through a damp cloth, wait until it is completely dry. Determine the required number of loops. Calculate the stitches for the entire hat based on the number of stitches in the pattern.
Step 2
Start knitting at the top of your head. First, tie a ring of 4 stitches. Make 2 double crochet stitches on the first row of crochet and single crochet stitches by inserting a crochet hook into each of the four stitches. In the next and subsequent rows, add the number of columns so that the "crown" is slightly rounded and rests on the head when fitting. Depending on the thickness of the yarn and the size of the crochet, make 4-8 rows. If the “crown” is flat, tie it with a smaller crochet. If it does not fit the head, but sticks out, crochet one size larger. Knitting should follow the shape of the head.
Step 3
Try on the product, controlling its size. If you are satisfied with the depth and width of the hat, finish knitting the posts. Tie the last row with single crochets or crustaceans. You can decorate the hat with braid, knitted flowers, yarn fringe. Place the flattened hat on the table for 30 minutes, covering it with a clean, damp cloth. You can lightly steam from the iron, after wrapping the finished product with a cloth. Shake the hat and try it on - your work is done.
