The cylinder is one of the basic geometric shapes. None of the draftsmen (both future professionals and amateurs) can do without the skills of its construction.
It is necessary
Pencil, eraser on paper
Instructions
Step 1
Mark on the sheet the plane on which the cylinder will stand with two horizontal lines.
Step 2
Draw a vertical axis. In the center of the sheet, if you will only build the figure itself, or with a shift to the side, if an image of the object's shadow is also supposed.
Step 3
Set aside on the axis a segment equal to the height of the cylinder.
Step 4
At the upper and lower ends of the line, draw horizontal axes on which the bases of the cylinder will be drawn. The length of these segments is equal to the diameter of the cylinder.
Step 5
Draw circles on each of the horizontal axes. To do this, add another central vertical line for each of the shapes. The lower the point from which you "look" at the cylinder is, the smaller the angle between the vertical and horizontal axes and the more these circles will be flattened, taking a more oval shape. According to the laws of perspective, the top base of the cylinder will be narrower than the bottom. And in each of the bases, the upper half of the circle (up to the horizontal axis) will be slightly smaller than the lower one. Varying these dimensions, achieve such a shape of the circles so that they "lie" on the plane.
Step 6
Draw lines parallel to the central axis of the cylinder to indicate the sides. After that, all auxiliary construction lines can be erased.
