In order to download a music file, you often need to compress it. This can be done using special freeware programs. The process is not complicated, but it can be difficult to figure out the interface of such programs on your own.

Instructions
Step 1
Download Free Audio Converter. To do this, follow the link: https://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Audio-Converter.htm, and then click on the green button on the right that says "Download now". A window will appear prompting you to save the file. Click "Save", and then find the downloaded program in "My Downloads" and open it.
Step 2
In the program window, find the "Browse" button and attach the desired music file. The action is completely similar to attaching a file to an email. Immediately below the "Browse" and "Output Name" buttons there are the "Formats" and "Profiles" buttons. It is best to specify MP3 in "Format", but in "Profile" a very large number of options are offered to choose from. You can select high, optimal, standard or low quality.
Step 3
Each option assumes a different file size. Remember that the smaller the file, the worse the sound quality, some nuances of the arrangement are lost, and so on. Therefore, before choosing a size, check what size you initially need to download and in no case choose a smaller one.
Step 4
Click on the "Output name" button and specify the desired file name. After the processing process, the reduced file can be found by this name. You can immediately write down or change the path to the file specified when you clicked the "Browse" button to facilitate the search process.
Step 5
Now click "Convert". A loading indicator window will appear. Conversion may take several minutes, but if you see that the download status has not changed for more than 5 minutes, click on "Stop", restart your computer and start the whole process from the beginning.
Step 6
If the conversion was successful - click on "OK", the window with a notification about the successful operation will close. Behind it there will be another window, at the top of which it says "Process completed". In this window, click on the "Close" button.
