An increasing number of people are interested in robotics. It is not surprising - from scrap materials you can create not just a machine on tracks, but even … a flying robot. To build an unmanned aerial vehicle, you need to have basic aeromodelling skills and the necessary parts.
It is necessary
- - metal rods for the frame;
- - level, if possible with laser guidance;
- - switching circuits and power supply;
- - motors for the engine;
- - plastic blades.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, assemble the frame of the future robot from metal rods. At the same time, each angle must be set using a level, otherwise the device will be unbalanced and will not be able to fly.
Step 2
Attach the glider control board to the frame while maintaining a balanced weight ratio. Moreover, it usually consists of several gyroscopes and an accelerometer. Install the antennas so that they are not damaged by the screws. It is better to place them in the middle of the case if there are several screws.
Step 3
Close the circuit by installing the power supply and connecting it to the circuits. At the same time, do not forget about the balance so that one side of the robot is not heavier than the other. Solder the connection contacts and carefully insulate. Otherwise, the robot will suffer from a short circuit.
Step 4
Now securely attach the motor to the robot body, install the propeller blades. Be sure to check all connections and fasteners for strength several times so that not a single part falls off during the flight.
Step 5
At the end of the installation, you need to test the assembled model. To do this, place the robot on a flat, smooth surface and turn on the power source.
Step 6
Next, turn on the motors and hold the robot for a while so that the screws begin to rotate with the same amplitude and intensity. Then gently release and remove your hands so that your robot can take off.
Step 7
Make some simple maneuvers - raise your device as high as possible, make a few turns. If you see that the robot is showing signs of unbalanced flight, you need to stop it and adjust the engine and propellers.
Step 8
After adjusting, run the robot again to make sure it works as expected.
